Most of the time people that have issues with this game seem to have some kind of issue with their system. P8400 (I put this in it from my old Gateway DDR2 667 Here I will even post the specs with the video section of the. Honestly though the machine I am typing on now is far from state-of-the art and it does ok in game on a mix of low and medium settings with a few things that make the game look ok. It might be slightly in excess of the truth for some people.

The game games runs ok on my 2nd PC (quad core) though. You do not get stunning visuals on virtually any computer unless you like 1 fps. the above crap from the devs is just a darn lie. When i play on my dual core PC thats not state-of-the-art. I suspect that the specs sheet was written a year or more ago when Trion first began developing and it evolved in the meantime to a point where the recommended specs are more accurately the minimum. You're right that the specs minimum listed shows very dated hardware, but I don't know where Trion ever said this game would run playably on very low end hardware. The only thing lower than it would be intel GMA based laptops and not by much. To make matters worse your CPU runs at 2.1 GHZ which is barely adequate to play as well.Īnd your laptop is not relatively low end, it is low end.

Nothing can make up for crap hardware and the HD3200 falls in that category. It's a crappy integrated graphics card, but my laptop is very well-optimized to make up for that. My laptop is relatively low-end, but there are very few games that have been completely unplayable for me. Trion said RIFT could be playable on low-end computers, but it isn't. It should be accessible by a variety of people. I know my laptop is not exactly meant for gaming, but seriously.? I was just going to say "forget it" but Walmart won't give me my money back. Hell, I even get better performance from Crysis. So does every other game I play, like Left 4 Dead 2 and Fallout 3. WoW looks and performs significantly better. In comparison, WoW gives me a solid 60+ fps at higher resolutions with graphics at "Good" settings. This is even after a clean restart and manually killing every non-critical process possible. Yes, I have the low-rendering box checked too. I'm only managing 5-10 fps at 1024x768 at the absolute lowest graphical settings. I simply assumed that the minimum requirements are a "reasonable set of system requirements," but I guess not. "A Beautiful Look and Feel - Rift features stunning visuals playable on any PC with a reasonable set of system requirements." "Highly Accessible HD Graphics: Play a game that has stunning visuals on virtually any computer, even if your PC isn't state-of-the-art."
